Diabetes mellitus can be a challenge to manage in cats. In this case-based talk, the approach to diagnosis and treatment in cats with diabetes mellitus comlicated by another disease process will be discussed. Practitioners will be encouraged to raise questions or discussion points.
Learning Objectives:
1. Identify the presence of concurrent disease in diabetic cats
2. Design a diagnostic protocol for diabetic cats with comorbidities
3. Adjust insulin therapy to accomodate for the presence and treatment of concurrent disease in diabetic cats.
