Through personal experience as an ER doctor, and in guiding colleagues on cases as a radiologist, this lecture will walk through a series of cases in which knowing an extra little pointer may make it easier to reach a diagnosis. Sometimes the best pointers are about set-up, like when determining if a blocked cat has bladder stones. Sometimes it is just helpful ways to think about image interpretation, like when trying to diagnose the elusive linear foreign body.
Learning Objectives:
1. Take home a useful pointer for thoracic radiography.
2. Take home a useful pointer for abdominal radiography.
3. Take home a useful pointer for musculoskeletal radiography.
4. Take home a useful pointer for basic abdominal ultrasound.
