This lecture will focus on feline hyperthyroidism, its clinical signs as well as diagnostics tests. We will discuss different treatment options for cats with hyperthyroidism as well as their monitoring and cover complications and comorbidities of cats with hyperthyroidism and their management. Last but not least, this lecture will cover different types of feline hypothyroidism and management of hypothyroid cats.

She graduated from the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Brno, Czech Republic in 2018. She completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at Vets Now Referral Hospital, Glasgow, UK and Small Animal Medicine Internship at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh, UK. Dr. Černá obtained an ISFM Advanced Certificate in Feline Behavior with Distinction in 2018 and has particular interest in feline medicine and is currently doing a Ph.D. degree at Colorado State University in Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP).
