Learning Objectives:

  1. Briefly list the benefits of intraoral radiology
  2. Identify pertinent radiographic dental anatomy
  3. Review the principles of obtaining diagnostic dental radiographs
  4. Learn to orienting and labially mount full-mouth dental radiographs
  5. Systematically review a full-mouth dental radiographic series

**This will be the first part in a three part series. Part 1 will provide background information for case-based discussions in Parts 2 and 3.

Dr. Nadine Fiani is an assistant clinical professor of dentistry and oral surgery at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has an interest in education and a clinical interest in endodontics and zoo dentistry. Dr. Fiani received her veterinary degree from the University of Sydney and completed a rotating internship followed by a 3-year residency in dentistry and oral surgery at the University of California Davis. Prior to her current position, Dr. Fiani spent 3 years in private referral practice in Sydney.
