Selena Tinga is a small animal orthopedic surgeon at Cornell University. She received both her BS and DVM from Cornell ('05, '12) then did a rotating internship at Texas A&M and a combined small animal surgical residency and PhD at University of Florida. She finished her post-graduate training in 2018 and became an assistant professor in the small animal orthopedic surgery section at Ohio State. When the opportunity arose to move her career to Cornell in 2021, she jumped on it knowing what a great place the Fingerlakes region is to live and what a great team she would be working with in the CUHA. Her favorite cases include surgical management of hip dysplasia and angular limb deformity correction. She spends her free time hiking with her dogs, Sebastian and Smash, and also slowly but surely renovating her house.
