An update on common toxins, decontamination, and treatment options.

  1. Review pathophysiology of common toxins to guide specific treatment.
  2. Expand your decontamination toolkit in the clinic, in the outpatient setting, and at the referral level.
  3. Become familiar with the indications and options for extracorporeal toxin removal.

Jethro is member of the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine Emergency and Critical Care faculty team and has established the Cornell CVM extracorporeal therapies unit. Professional interests include veterinary extracorporeal therapies, acute kidney injury, fluid stewardship, and professional wellness. He is also passionate about educating veterinarians, students, and technicians in emergency and critical care topics. Outside of the hospital, Jethro enjoys spending time with family, maintaining a 20 acre farm, making maple syrup, playing hockey, scuba diving, and serving his community as a firefighter in the Danby Fire Company.
