A sensible and evidence-based approach to understanding the important components in pet food. There will be a review of how macro-nutrient balance and optimal micro-nutrient ranges are essential causes of health. Relevant macro-and micro-nutrients, as they relate to health and disease, will be discussed. She will provide practical hints on efficiently evaluating pet food diets, caloric intake, ingredient quality and healthy sourcing in a veterinary setting. There will be a brief discussion of the financial benefits of focusing on nutrition in veterinary practice and how to effectively utilize staff for this source of revenue.

2. To learn efficient ways to assess and interpret healthy balance, ingredients and completeness in pet food recipes and products
