Join the Hudson Valley Veterinary Medical Society in learning about canine arthritis management. Multiple approaches will be discussed, with perspectives based in surgery, acupuncture, rehabilitation, sports medicine, and anesthesia. This panel-style question-based discussion is sure to provide new insights into the management of a very common and complex disease.

Following years at top emergency and specialty hospitals, he and his wife Francesca founded New Jersey’s first dedicated veterinary surgical center to elevate the standard of care.

Dr. Andrea Looney joins AMC from Ethos Veterinary Health and Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Boston, MA where she focused on anesthesiology, rehabilitative care, and pain mitigation and management for her patients. Dr. Looney earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, where she also completed a residency program in anesthesiology. Dr. Looney served as Senior Lecturer in Pain Management, Palliative Care, and Rehabilitation at Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she established pain management and rehabilitation programs with clinical and didactic teaching. Dr. Looney also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in Boston, MA and as a Consultant Anesthesiologist in human hospitals around the Albany, NY area, including the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany Medical College, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Dr. Wilson graduated magna cum laude from Iona University in New Rochelle, NY, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then moved to Ithaca, NY to attend Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM). After veterinary school, she completed an intense, year long internship in small animal medicine and surgery at BluePearl Hospital Downtown in Manhattan. To further her education, she attended Chi University and became certified in veterinary acupuncture, traditional Chinese food therapy, and end-of-life care. Dr. Wilson practices integrative medicine, using her extensive Western medical background and traditional Chinese veterinary medical training for a holistic approach to wellness. Dr. Wilson has worked in many different settings, including small animal private practices, emergency and specialty hospitals, shelters, and community veterinary wellness centers. A lifelong New York state resident, she currently resides in Newburgh with her husband and three ginger cats.
