Cytology of Common Skin Tumors
In this session, you will learn the basics of collecting and evaluating cytology samples of common skin tumors in cats and dogs. In addition to a brief review of concepts, participants will get to work through virtual slides in real time with a clinical pathologist.

Speaker biographies
Dr. Eric Fish is a Western New York native, growing up just outside Buffalo. He studied Animal Science at Cornell University before earning his DVM from Western University of Health Sciences in 2012. He then continued his training with a rotating internship at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, followed by a combined clinical pathology residency and PhD in cancer biology at Auburn University. Dr. Fish became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2016.
After residency, Eric remained at Auburn for three years on faculty. From there, he co-founded Lacuna Diagnostics, the first point-of-care digital cytology company, serving as Chief Medical Officer. Then he went on to work at IDEXX as a pathologist and R&D manager, and more recently branched into freelance consulting. Throughout this time, Eric continued to practice as a relief ER vet, and that invaluable experience informs his diagnostic work.
